Student voice

ISL Players Drama Club

In ISL triangulating among school, parents ,and students is crucial. We are all committed to have students actively participating in decision-making at school on things which shape their education.

Student voice is more than just students ‘having a say’ and ‘being heard’. To reach goals, schools must value the perspectives and opinions of students and act on them in a way that impacts learning and decision-making at the school.

We believe that we must:

  • allow students, teachers and management  to design solutions together.
  • Increase students` engagement in learning.
  • create a positive and safe environment and culture.
  • improve personal and social capabilities.

ISL:

  • Choose the Students Council members in a democratic way (voting).
  • Enable students to shape the school community.
  • Allow students to run charity, community initiatives.
  • Invite Members of Students Council  to join teachers and admin meeting.
  • Encourage students to express their opinions in surveys, public discussions or their own panels.
