History Of Our School

International School of Laos was established as Eastern Star Bilingual School in 2006 in Vientiane Capital, Laos.

The Main Campus commenced its operation in 2006 with only 273 students. In the following year, the number of enrollments doubled reaching more than 400 enrollees. The Main Campus is divided primary, secondary, and kindergarten. The Primary Campus commenced its operation in 2006 and since then it has been offering co-ed class 1-5 programs. The Secondary Campus commenced its operation in 2006 and since then it has been offering co-ed Class Matayom-1 to 3 programs.

International School of Laos Watnak campus commenced its operation in 2007 as a kindergarten and moved into its current location at Thongkan village in the summer of 2016. At the International School of Laos-Thongkan primary department established and at the end of the extension project, this campus will serve from toddlers to Primary 5.

International School of Laos-Pakse opened its doors in the summer of 2015 with 40 students serving from toddlers to Primary 3. It is the only school offering an English Language International program. Pakse campus will serve Toddler to Mateyom at the end of the extension period.

During its history, the International School of Laos’ students and teachers achieved a lot at the national and international levels. However, we are proudest of one achievement; we are a two-time receiver of the Medal of Honor from the President of Lao PDR.
